Award-winning journalist, presenter, author, comedian and one-half of the comedy duo
Scummy Mummies, Ellie has over 15 years experience of writing about video games. She has
worked for Guinness World Records, The Guardian, Eurogamer and many more. She appears
as the games expert on Dave’s hit show Dara O Briain’s Go 8 Bit, and hostscompanion show
Go 8 Bit DLC.
Ellie previously hosted BBC Technology show Tech Know, and presented Radio 4
documentary Virtually Famous. Other TV and radio appearances include The Apprentice:
You’re Fired, The Wright Stuff, Good Morning Britain, Lorraine, Woman’s Hour and
Broadcasting House.
She has hosted events for BAFTA Games, Sony PlayStation, English Heritage and
Mumsnet. Together with fellow Scummy Mummy Helen Thorn, she hosts the UK’s number
one parenting podcast, and performs live comedy shows around the country. Their first book,
Scummy Mummies, was published in March 2017.
